KAMLOOPS — Decision day is looming for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo Conservative MP Cathy McLeod.

McLeod, who was first elected in 2008, says she plans to announce soon whether she’ll run in the next federal election scheduled for October 2019.

“Certainly I’ve always said a year out, we’re not quite a year out, but I’ll be formally declaring within that time frame.”

McLeod says she has many concerns about the direction of Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government, including the way it has handled the Trans Mountain pipeline issue, NAFTA and the federal deficit.
