KAMLOOPS — A former Kamloops mayor has been listed alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as one of the top three cannabis “influencers” in Canada.

Terry Lake is the Vice President of Corporate and Social Responsibility for Ottawa-based Hydropothecary, a job he took after retiring from politics in 2017.

Hydropothecary produces a wide variety of cannabis products and has designs on supplying a large portion of the retail recreational market in Canada once it is legalized next month.

BotaniQ, a publication dedicated to cannabis discourse in Canada, listed Lake alongside Trudeau and columnist Bethany Rae as the finalist for ‘Influencer’ in its Power 10 cannabis awards.
