VERNON, B.C. — An Alberta company is proposing to take over some of the BC bus routes Greyhound will be ending.

Ebus has applied to the Passenger Transportation Board to serve Kelowna to Kamloops — which would include a stop in Vernon — Kelowna to Vancouver and Kamloops to Vancouver.

Greyhound plans to end its service Oct. 31, unable to make it work financially.

Ebus is owned by Diversified Transport of Edmonton which has been servicing Alberta since 2011.
