KAMLOOPS — Western Canada Theatre has lifted the curtain on its first performance of the season. ‘Kamloopa’ is a story about the largest powwow in Western Canada – and the journey two sisters make to take part in the event.

‘Kamloopa’ is a high energy story that follows two urban Indigenous sisters and a lawless trickster who face the world head-on as they come to terms with what it means to honour themselves – and where they come from.

The performance explores the love and passion of First Nations women reconnecting with their homelands, ancestors and stories.
