Revelstoke RCMP confirm one dead in Trans Canada crash

REVELSTOKE, B.C. — A 30 year old Maple Ridge man is dead following a two-vehicle collision 12 kilometres west of Revelstoke on the Trans Canada Highway.

Revelstoke RCMP Sgt. Rob Haney says the crash occurred just after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night (Sept. 11).

“The collision involved an eastbound GMC Sierra pickup truck and an empty westbound Mack semi-trailer B train unit,” he says. “The 30 year old male driver of the GMC from Maple Ridge, B.C. was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Haney says the 40 year old male driver of the Mack truck was not injured.
