BOSTON BAR, B.C. — Homicide investigators say a woman found murdered near Boston Bar last month was a 28 year old from Belgium who may have been hitchhiking at the time of her death.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says Amelie Christelle Sakkalis was travelling in Canada in August.

Her body was found near the Trans Canada Highway north of Boston Bar on August 22 after a suspicious occurrence complaint.

Police believe she had been in the Penticton area earlier on the day of her death.
