KAMLOOPS — If you're looking for something to do over the long weekend, there are a couple of great fairs within a short drive.

The North Thompson Fall Fair in Barriere starts in earnest today, and continues through Monday. The parade starts tomorrow at 11:00 AM and arrives at the fair grounds at noon.

Lots of displays, amusements, rodeo and pony chariot races, as well as a number of social events are all planned.

And if you're heading in the other direction, Armstrong is hosting its 119th annual Interior Provincial Exhibition.

The agricultural fair has attracted over 28-thousand people over the first two days, and continues until Sunday.
