PRINCE GEORGE — The wildfires brought the Prime Minister to Prince George Thursday morning.

Justin Trudeau went to the BC Wildfire Centre on Opie Crescent to meet with officials and front-line workers.  Following a situation briefing, he spoke to local politicians and wildfire centre workers.

He told them the federal government and the provincial government are learning to work together better to allow for improved responses to situations like wildfires.  He also thanked them for their hard work.

Trudeau also spoke with the media.  He said federal and provincial governments are working better with members of the indigenous community but added there is still room for improvements.
