Residents living near Gottfriedsen Mountain fire given the all clear

KAMLOOPS — There is good news for TNRD residents living near the Gottfriedsen Mountain Wildfire west of Kelowna. 

An evacuation alert has been rescinded, meaning all properties and camping areas north of Highway 97C, including Pennask Lake, Mellin Lake, Barton Lake, and Eileen Lake are no longer at risk. 

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the fire is now being held.
