TNRD rescinds 70 Mile evacuation alert

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has lifted evacuation alerts issued for the 70 Mile House area, originally put in place due to the Twin Creek wildfire.

The alerts affect the communities of 70 Mile House and South Green Lake, as well as four properties along Hutchinson Road, and all other properties within the boundaries denoted on this map.

The TNRD says the Twin Creek fire no longer poses an imminent risk to residents in the area.
