KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says it is extending the hours of the Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre, in response to the poor air quality in the region.

The Westsyde facility will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., effective Monday, August 13.

It’s one of the only places local residents can swim today, as the Canada Games Aquatic Centre has closed today for its annual maintenance shutdown.

That pool is slated to re-open on September 4.
