Cariboo Regional District issues evacuation orders for 128 properties

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District has issued evacuation orders to numerous properties in the Lang Lake/Murphy Lake and Tatelkuz Lake areas. 

According to a release put out Friday evening, wildfires in these areas present an immediate danger, and RCMP or Search and Rescue were assisting with the evacuations. 

66 properties have been put under and evacuation order in the Lang Lake/Murphy Lake area, and a small portion of Hawkins Lake and Eagle Creek is also included. 

Residents from the area are instructed to travel to 100 Mile House and register with Emergency Support Services at Peter Skeene Ogden at 200 7th St.
