KAMLOOPS — We almost hit a new record for July 30th yesterday, but at the end of the day, we came up one tenth of a degree short of the mark.

The temperature got up to 38.8 degrees officially yesterday.  That’s just a hair short of the record of 38.9, set in 1971.

We’re not likely to break a record today. The record high for today is 40.6 degrees, also set in 1971. But today’s high is forecast to hit 36 degrees, as temperatures start to drop slightly.
