One in hospital, another in custody after Sahali stabbing

KAMLOOPS — One man is in hospital, another in custody, after a stabbing last night at a residence on Waddington Drive in Sahali.

Staff Sergeant Ed Preto says police got a call just before 8:00 PM last night and when they arrived, they found the victim outside the home.

He had been stabbed multiple times.

The suspect, a 25-year old Kamloops  man known to police, was arrested attempting to leave the residence.

Staff Preto says it looks like the two men knew each other, and had gotten into a physical altercation earlier in the evening, which led to the stabbing.

The victim is in hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The Serious Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.

It’s not known at this time what led to the incident.
