KAMLOOPS — The First Annual Kamloops International Buskers Festival has begun.

The event, which has been relocated to Kamloops from Victoria, will feature seven professional street performers from all over the world.

Workers were busy setting up the stages at Riverside Park Thursday where many of the performances will take place.

Buskers will also be located at 'Busk Stops' throughout the city during the four day festival.

"We've had a really great response, and the community seems excited," said Tournament Capital and Community Event Coordinator Audrey Trim. "You know, it's a different kind of unique event for Kamloops so it's been really well received so far so I'm excited to see the turnout."
