Construction to temporarily close Tudor Village lab

KAMLOOPS — Ongoing construction at an Interior Health lab in Kamloops will result in a closure starting later this week.

The Tudor Village Laboratory on Summit Drive in Sahali will be closed beginning at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 26, with an estimated re-opening first thing in the morning on Monday, July 30.

The construction is meant to make the lab bigger, with “expanded lab collection workspaces, a more comfortable waiting area, increased access for patients with disabilities and improved privacy for patients.”

Construction will continue all summer, with a projected completion date in early fall.

IH says those who would otherwise access the Tudor Village lab during the closure are asked to visit either the lab at Royal Inland Hospital or the facility at the Northills Centre mall.
