Alcohol not being ruled out in serious Highway 97 crash

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — One man suffered serious and life threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash just north of 100 Mile House last (July 19) night on Highway 97.

100 Mile House RCMP Sgt. Don McLean says police were called to the crash at 8:30 p.m.

“The driver of an older Jeep Cherokee, lost control and went off the road into the ditch,” he says. “The male driver was ejected from the vehicle.”

McLean says the man was first taken to 100 Mile House Hospital but was subsequently transported to Vancouver General Hospital where he remains “in critical condition.”
