OTTAWA — Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola Conservative MP Dan Albas isn’t impressed with the federal government’s cabinet shuffle today.

He especially took aim at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to move Jim Carr from natural resources minister into the international trade portfolio.

“Well obviously this is a reshuffle because we have an election 15 months away. And it’s a tacit admission by the Liberals that they’ve failed on many files. Whether it be on international trade, there’s been a number of problems under the previous trade minister. And now that’s been switched to another minister who wasn’t able to get any pipelines through.”

Albas also notes the new cabinet has grown from 30 ministers up to 35.
