Two injured in three-vehicle collision on TCH near Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE — Mounties are reminding motorists to use caution in heavy traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway following a three-vehicle collision over the weekend.

Revelstoke RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky says the collision occurred just before 6 p.m. on Sunday night on Highway 1 near Crazy Creek.

“All three vehicles involved were travelling westbound on Highway 1, when a stop or slow in traffic occurred, causing one of the vehicles to rear-end the other two,” he says. “Transported to the local hospitals (Revelstoke and Salmon Arm) were a 45 year old female and a 33 year old female.”

Grabinksy says a total of eight people were involved in the crash.

“Driver’s should avoid following too closely. Further, the RCMP reminds motorists to respect the direction of traffic control persons and to slow down on the approach and passing of all highway workers and emergency services personnel.”
