Police seek witnesses to fatal motorcycle crash near Oliver

OLIVER — One motorcyclist was killed and another seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision near Oliver over the weekend.
BC RCMP Cst. Mike Halskov says it happened at about 2:45 p.m. on Highway 97 near Road 18 south of Oliver.
“Upon arrival it was determined that a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line, side-swiped a northbound vehicle and then collided head-on with a southbound motorcycle with two occupants,” he says.
“The male driver and female passenger of the motorcycle were both rushed to hospital. The driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries in hospital and the female passenger remains in hospital in critical condition.”
