Process for cannabis licenses posted

VERNON — BC businesses interested in selling recreational cannabis once it becomes legal, can now find out more about how to apply.

The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch has posted the rules, regulations and process for private store licenses on its website.

The government says the review process will include rigorous security screening and robust licensing requirements.

The branch expects to start accepting applications by early August.

The federal government will legalize non-medical marijuana on Oct. 17th.
