WILLIAMS LAKE — It's the biggest event of the year in Williams Lake and it returns this weekend.

The 92nd annual Williams Lake Stampede runs today through Monday with at least 15,000 people expected to pass through the gates.

President Tim Rolph says it will feature cowboys and cowboys from across North America.

He claims the rodeo is probably the largest in central B.C. and will feature everything from bareback riding to the saddle bronc.

Rolph says the Stampede is also a big boost to the local economy noting "all the hotels are booked and all the restaurants are full."

Tonight, organizers are encouraging all spectators to wear red as they salute members of the Canadian military.
