Ashcroft Hospital emergency department to close overnight Sunday

ASHCROFT — An unexpected limited nurse availability will interrupt service in the Ashcroft Hospital and Health Care Centre emergency department (ED) this long weekend.

Interior Health says it will close on Sunday July 1 at 8:00 p.m., with regular hours resuming on Friday July 6 at 6:00 p.m.

ED services operate on weekends only, starting Friday at 6 p.m. to Monday at 8 a.m.

Interior Health says it regrets this “interruption to our normal emergency department services,” and advises residents who need care to visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, Lillooet Hospital or Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt.

In the event of an emergency call 9-1-1.
