SALMON ARM, B.C. — Mounties have identified suspects “possibly responsible” for a convenience store break-in in Blind Bay.

Salmon Arm RCMP Staff Sgt. Scott West says the break-in occurred in the early morning hours of Monday (June 25) during a power outage in the Blind Bay area of Highway 1.

“A thief got into the store and stole items from the cash register area,” he says. “Various items were taken and included a display of pocket knives, lottery tickets and cigarettes.”

West says a tip provided to the store owner on Tuesday led police to a home in Sorrento and some suspects as well as other people who were in possession of stolen cigarettes and lottery tickets from the store.
