Missing man presumed drowned near Gold Bridge

GOLD BRIDGE, B.C. — A 25 year old man is presumed drowned after falling off his boat last weekend in Gun Lake, near Gold Bridge.

BC RCMP Staff Sgt. Annie Linteau says police received a report that the man had fallen off his boat and never surfaced last Sunday at around 4:30 p.m.

“Several boaters on the water, along with Pemberton Search and Rescue, BC Conservation Service and RCMP were deployed to search for the boater however he was never located,” she says.

The BC RCMP Underwater Recovery Team is continuing with its search.
