Armstrong man dies from crash injuries

ARMSTRONG — An Armstrong man has died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover on the 2800 block of Enderby-Mabel Lake Road last Monday.

Corporal Yannick Lescarbeau, RCMP spokesperson, says police officers as well as fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene of the collision shortly after 4:40 p.m. on June 18.

He says the vehicle was travelling west, past Hupel, when it failed to properly negotiate a curb, which caused the driver to lose control before striking a tree and rolling several times into an embankment.

The two occupants were transported to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

“We are now investigating a fatal collision as, unfortunately, the 59 year old passenger did not recovered from his injuries and died in hospital,” says Lescarbeau.
