Josie Morrison retires from competitive skating

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops athlete Josie Morrison has announced her retirment from competitive speed skating.

The 24-year old competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, placing fourth on Canada’s team pursuit squad and 21st in the 1500 metres.

Morrison podiumed with a bronze at a World Cup event in the team pursuit before the Olympics.

Morrison is married to Olympic champion Danny Morrison, who also skated for Canada at the Pyeongchang Games.
