Charges in Lumby rollover

LUMBY — Charges are to be laid in connection with a rollover accident on Highway 6 in Lumby early this morning.

RCMP were notified about one o’clock this morning by witnesses who reported seeing an SUV speeding and driving erratically before losing control, rolling several times and slamming into a ditch.

They told police three people inside were able to get out of  the vehicle without serious injuries but all took off before police arrived.

Investigators ended up identifying the parties involved and tracked them down.

The registered owner is looking at charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident and driving without due care
