VANCOUVER — The provincial government has announced a $75 million investment to expand respite care and adult day programs in British Columbia.

B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix says the improvements will be expanded over the next three years and will help both seniors and their loved ones

The Ministry of Health says the money will be used to increase the number of respite beds, and make overnight care at home more accessible.

In addition to that, the number of adult day program spaces will be increased and the hours of operation will be expanded to provide services on evenings and weekends.
