ENDERBY — The operator of a motorhome destroyed by fire in the North Okanagan, remains unaccounted for.

RCMP say a motorhome caught fire after hitting a tree off road on the north side of Hidden Lake near Enderby around 7 pm Tuesday night.

“An RCMP collision analyst has attended the scene to conduct further investigation into the cause of the collision,” says Cst. Kelly Brett. “The RCMP Police Service Dog and its handler were called to the scene to conduct a thorough search of the area, however the sole occupant of the vehicle remains un-accounted for at this time.”

Brett says police are working with the family of the registered owner of the motor home, as the case is investigated.
