KAMLOOPS — Two members of Kamloops Search and Rescue have been honoured for their work in increasing safety awareness through the AdventureSmart prevention program.

The recipients were Alec Farquharson and Clive Giolma and they were celebrated Monday night, both receiving the AdventureSmart Challenge coin at the Desert Gardens Community Centre

At 119 presentations, the third highest total in the province, Farquharson has reached an estimated 4,400 people.

Clive Giolma, who was unable to attend the award ceremony, has delivered 84 presentations, the fourth highest number in B.C. Those presentations have reached an estimated 6,200 people.
