UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP locate vehicles involved in afternoon shooting

KAMLOOPS — The search is on for the suspects involved in a brazen afternoon shooting in Kamloops.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the shooting occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. near the intersection of McGill Road and Summit Drive.

She says suspects in a black pick-up Cadillac Escalade with Alberta plates fired shots at a “small silver car,” damaging one or more of the car’s windows.

Shelkie says the shooters appeared to be wearing bandanas over their faces.

Though both vehicles fled the scene, they were located later this afternoon at undisclosed locations.

Shelkie says there are no known injuries, adding no more information will be released at this time.
