Apartment construction drive May housing starts in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Year-over-year housing starts for May were way up in Kamloops.
New numbers released today by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) reveal there were 100 housing starts last month compared to 34 in May 2017.
Apartment starts led the way with 62 in May, up from one apartment start in May 2017.
Year-to-date, there have been 328 housing starts, nearly triple the 129 start total through the first five months of 2017.
