Search for missing plane focuses on North Okanagan

VERNON — The sister of an Alberta man whose plane disappeared on a flight from Penticton to Edmonton in November is in Vernon looking for help.

Tammy Neron hopes to have a search in the Mabel Lake area.

Dominic Neron was with his girlfriend Ashley Bourgeault on the flight which was last tracked about 18 kilometres outside Revelstoke.

“So now that the snow has melted, we decided to start our search, instead of going back to Revelstoke, focusing it more down in Mabel Lake because that fits the timeline a lot better,” Neron tells Beach Radio News.

Tammy is hoping for volunteers to help her put together a search team, hopefully with drones to help get into the area.
