Thieves target car dealership in Merritt

MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for stealing $10,000 worth of tires and rims.

Cst. Tracy Dunsmore says the theft occurred the evening of May 16 or the early morning hours of May 17 when thieves cut a chain link fence into the compound at Murray GM on Voght Street.

“Suspects lifted two pickup trucks onto wooden blocks and removed the rims and tires from the two vehicles,” she says. “The value of the tires and rims for both vehicles is valued at over $10,000.”
