American rock icon John Mellencamp books Kamloops date

KAMLOOPS — American hitmaker John Mellencamp will rock Sandman Centre later this year.

Mellencamp, known for hits such as “Jack and Diane,” “Pink Houses” and “Hurts so Good,” will play Sandman Centre on November 6.

The singer-songwriter rose to fame in the 1980s with a plain-spoken writing style that appealed to the Midwestern United States heartland.

Tickets for the Kamloops show go on sale Friday.
