Charges laid in Vernon cold case murder

VERNON — A man has been extradited from the United States to face a charge of first degree murder in connection with the death of his wife in Vernon 32 years ago. 

A spokesperson for B.C.’s Prosecution Service says Paramjit Singh Bogarh (Boh-gar) has already appeared in a Vernon courtroom and has been ordered detained.

Bogarh’s wife, Saminder, died on December 31st, 1986.

The accused and another man, Narinder Bogarh, have also been charged with  conspiracy to murder in connection with the case.
