Family of Dave Robinson holding memorial golf tournament in support of RIH cancer clinic

KAMLOOPS — The family of Dave Robinson is holding a golf tournament in his memory in early July.

The Dave Robinson Memorial Golf Tournament will be held July 7 at the Big Horn Golf and Country Club, formerly Sun Rivers.

A defenceman with the Kamloops Chiefs in the mid-70’s, and a successful businessman following his playing days, Dave was  involved as a coach and volunteer parent with Kamloops Minor Hockey.

He passed away last December at the age of 60 after a battle with cancer.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will go to help purchase equipment for the Royal Inland Hospital cancer clinic, specifically for the purchase of a vein finder for the clinic.
