Acclaimed Nigerian author speaks at Harvard Class Day

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Acclaimed Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has addressed Harvard University’s graduates at the school’s annual pre-commencement Class Day festivities.

She was selected by the university’s graduating class to speak on Wednesday.

Ngozi Adichie talked about leadership and told the students to “bend toward the side of truth.”

The Nigerian-born writer, whose work has been translated into more than 30 languages, is known for novels including “Purple Hibiscus,” and “Half of a Yellow Sun.”
