REVELSTOKE — A Cranbrook man is facing jail time after allegedly robbing a bank in Revelstoke.

Revelstoke RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky says it stems from a bank heist that took place on April 6 on First Street.

“The male demanded cash from the bank teller. The male was provided with an undisclosed amount of money and departed the bank, leaving in a blue Pontiac four-door sedan, without further incident.”

He says a CCTV photo and a media release were instrumental in identifying the suspect and leading to an arrest.
