PRINCE GEORGE — The Conservation Officer Service is investigating a disturbing incident.

Officers responded to a report of a black bear in a neighbourhood in the Hart. While that isn’t surprising, the fact the bear had been shot with an arrow is.

The bear was roaming a neighbourhood near Central Hart Estates when it was discovered Friday morning.  Conservation officers are now searching for the person who fired the arrow.

Conservation Officers say bow hunting is not illegal within City limits.  However injuring the bear, creates a major risk to anyone in the area. They say there is a wide array of charges that could come out of the case, including creating undue suffering for an animal.
