Kamloops film production wins $10K grant from Telus

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops screenwriter and video production company will use a $10,000 grant from Telus to help in a movie shoot this weekend.

Telus Storyhive announced writer/director Vesta Giles and Alpha-Omega Productions will receive the grant for the film When I’m Dead.

Shooting will take place in and around Kamloops starting Friday and wrapping up Sunday.

The film explores the story of a mother who loses her adult daughter to cancer, and tries to fight her way out of the darkness of despair.
