WolfPack lose to the Calgary Dinos

CALGARY, AB – The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team’s last overnight road trip of the season did not start the way the team wanted to on Friday night. The WolfPack lost to the University of Calgary Dinos by the score of 12-2.

Regan Gillis (Fort McMurray, AB) got the start for the ‘Pack on the mound. He tossed five innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on eight hits, two walks and a hit batter. Gillis struck out three Dino batters. Joe Siniscalchi (Burnaby, BC) came into the game in relief and gave up six runs (five earned) on six hits, four walks and a hit batter. He also struck out three batters.

Offensively, the ‘Pack collected seven hits in the game. Josh Snider (Moses Lake, WA) went 3-3 with a double and a RBI. The perfect day brought his season average up to .383. Connor McKenzie (Kamloops, BC) went 2-3 with a double and a run scored. Cole Paquin (Regina, SK) went 1-4 with a double. Josh Hillis (Calgary, AB) finished 1-4. Vance Fode (Bow Island, AB) walked twice and scored a run.

The WolfPack will look to get back in the win column Saturday as they play two against the University of Calgary Dinos. Game times are 12pm and 3pm.
