KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops earned some hardware at this week’s Southern Interior Local Government Association AGM and convention.

The city picked up an award for its housing engagement strategy, says Mayor Ken Christian.

“I was proud to accept that on behalf of the City of Kamloops, and in particular, Jen Casorso (the city’s social and planning development supervisor) and the staff that work along with our partners in addressing the affordable housing crisis in Kamloops,” he said.

“I think that we have a problem and we’re facing it just as other municipalities are, but to be recognized for the way that we’re approaching solving this problem is a great honour for Kamloops.”
