VICTORIA — Lieutenant-Governor Judith Guichon will say her goodbyes to Government House with a ceremony today.

Guichon has been the province’s representative of the Queen since 2012.

She made her mark on the position last year with the crucial decision to allow the NDP to form government with Green Party support, instead of calling another election.

Guichon, a long-time rancher in the Merritt area,  will be replaced by Janet Austin, who is the CEO of the Metro Vancouver YWCA.
