WolfPack drop season opening doubleheader against UFV

CHILLIWACK, B.C. – The CCBC regular season opened Saturday for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball as they were in Chilliwack to take on the University of Fraser Valley Cascades. The WolfPack’s offence was quiet all day and they made a couple errors on defence as they lost 3-2 in game one and 2-1 in game two.

Tyler Hodder (Fort McMurray, AB) started game one on the mound for the ‘Pack. He tossed seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits and seven walks. He struck out six batters. Cole Paquin (Regina, SK) suffered the loss, allowing one run on one hit and three walks, while striking out one batters.

Yutaro Takasaki (Japana) went 1-4 with a clutch RBI double in the top of the seventh inning. Connor McKenzie (Kamloops, BC) went 1-4 with a RBI single. Adam Filmon (Winnipeg, MB) went 1-4 with a double. Josh HIllis (Calgary, AB) went 1-3 with two walks.

Tyler Moskalyk (Thunder Bay, ON) tossed a complete game in game two. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks while striking out seven Fraser Valley batters.
