WolfPack get in the win column but split day in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, WA — After losing a close one on Friday night, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack were back in action on Saturday as they played two games. They beat Big Bend Community College in game one by the score of 3-0 but lost game two to Edmonds Community College 12-0.

The ‘Pack got an outstanding start from Tyler Moskalyk (Thunder Bay, ON) in game one. He got the win, tossing seven shutout innings, only allowing three hits. Bryant Jameus (Kamloops, BC) got the hold in the eighth. He got a huge double play in that inning. Cole Paquin (Regina, SK) got the save in the ninth, striking out the side.

Zac Comeault (Pitt Meadows, BC) came up big on offense in game one, going 3-4 with a double and two RBIs. Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC) had a RBI single in the first inning. Josiah Williams (Cloverdale, BC), Adam Filmon (Winnipeg, MB) and Lucas Lott (Kamloops, BC) scored the three runs. Williams finished 1-3 with a run and two walks. Josh Iannetti (Fort McMurray, AB) went 1-2 with a double, a run scored, a hit by pitch and a sacrifice bunt. Lucas Lott pinch ran for Iannetti, scoring a run and stealing a base in the process. Adam Filmon walked and scored. Josh HIllis (Calgary, AB) also had a base hit.

The story wasn’t the same for the ‘Pack in game two against Edmonds CC. Errors cost the team in game two. Regan Gillis (Fort McMurray, AB) got the loss, throwing five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and four walks. Joe Siniscalchi (Burnaby, BC) tossed two innings, allowing four runs (none earned) on three hits and two walks. Jordy Cunningham (Ladner, BC) allowed five runs (three earned) on three hits and two walks.
