Targeted shooting at Dallas apartment complex sends man to hospital

KAMLOOPS — A man is in hospital after being shot "numerous times" this morning in Dallas.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the shooting occurred at 1:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of Dallas Drive.

"When police arrived they found a man shot numerous times," she says. "Officers administered first aid until the ambulance arrived, at which time the male was transported to a local medical facility. None of his vital organs were hit and the victim is expected to make a full recovery."

Police believe it to be a targeted attack. The Forensic Identification Section has examined the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
