CRANBROOK — The wife of Cranbrook’s late fire chief has died following a crash on Highway 3.
The Cranbrook Fire Association says Joan MacKinnon died yesterday from injuries she sustained in Saturday’s collision.
Her husband, fire chief Clayton Murrell, was killed when a jack-knifed transport truck skidded into the path of his pickup truck near Yahk, B-C.
A man from Alberta who was driving the semi truck also died in the crash.
