RCMP arrest 17-year-old suspect in overnight stabbing

KAMLOOPS — A 17-year-old boy is in custody following a stabbing incident in Upper Sahali. 

Police were called to the Monarch Ct. area of Kamloops around 10 p.m. Friday night where a large group of youth were gathered, and possibly fighting. 

Calls to RCMP suggested someone may have been stabbed.

A 17-year-old boy was found to be suffering an apparent stab wound and was immediately admitted to hospital in serious condition. 

Another 17-year-old male was arrested at the scene. 

Further investigation of the evidence will determine if he is charged, and what charges he will face.
